Dr Philipoff co-founded the Western Australian Liver Transplant Machine Perfusion Service (established July 2025). Within 6 months of program commencement, Liver transplantation increased by over 70% in Western Australia, rapidly increasing access to lifesaving liver transplants for patients in Western Australia!

The Cambridge Transplant Unit is the highest volume organ perfusion unit in the UK/Europe, Dr Philipoff had the honour to work along-side some of the founding pioneers in the field of advanced liver and kidney transplant organ perfusion during his time on the Cambridge Transplant unit and subsequently brought these advanced organ perfusion techniques back home to Perth (to the WA Liver & Kidney Transplant Service).
