Dr. Adam Philipoff specialises in complex liver and gallbladder cancer surgery, keyhole/laparoscopic surgery for gallstones, abdominal wall hernia and dialysis access surgery.
Born and raised in Western Australia, after completing surgical training, Dr Adam Philipoff trained in world leading centres that specialise in: Adult Liver & Kidney Transplantation, Liver Cancer Surgery, Emergency General Surgery, Machine Perfusion of Donor Organs, Paediatric Kidney Transplantation and also Dialysis Access Surgery. (Cambridge Transplant Unit, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK; Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London, UK)
Dr Adam Philipoff is the surgical lead for Paediatric Kidney Transplantation in Western Australia (Perth Children's Hospital). Dr Philipoff offers the only Paediatric Transplantation Service to children in Western Australia, all other organ transplantation requires WA children to be transferred interstate for care.
He also performs Adult Liver and Kidney Transplantation with the Western Australian Liver & Kidney Transplant Service (Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital).
In March 2026, Dr Philipoff was appointed as Chair of the Western Australian Kidney Transplant Society (WAKTS), WAKTS was formed in 2004 for the purpose of integration of Renal Transplant Services across WA, to develop a strategic plan for kidney transplantation & promote equity to accessing transplantation in WA & also to make recommendations to the Minister for Health, Director General and Chief Medical Officer about matters pertaining to WA kidney transplantation.
